For publishers, rights are not a facet of the business: they ARE the business. Today’s market for published content is rapidly changing. Although this presents new challenges for publishers, authors, and agents, it also opens a new world of rights and licensing opportunities.
Beginning on March 5, the Book Industry Study Group (BISG) and Copyright Clearance Center (CCC) are presenting a live, three-part webcast series, called The Business of Rights: Trends and Opportunities in Publishing Today, to help publishers better understand, manage, and monetize content rights. The webcast will explore the changing rights landscape and new ways to generate revenue and increase operational efficiencies in this era of transformation and uncertainty.
The second session on March 12 is headlined by Ingenta COO, Randy Petway, who will present Managing and Organizing Rights in a Time of Change: Tools and Services for Efficiently and Effectively Organizing Rights.
More information on the live webcast series can be found here. We encourage you to tune in and learn how technology can enable you to maximize your rights in a global marketplace.
