Ingenta will be participating in two panels at this year's Digital Book World Conference in New York City. Michael Cairns, COO for Ingenta's Online Division, and Randy Petway, COO for our advance Division will both be speaking along with a host of other field experts.
The first panel, Agile Content: Developing Responsive Publishing Models, will take place on January 15th at 1:45 pm. This panel will focus on how publishers can take advantage of opportunities outside their historical commercial activity to generate new revenue from existing content. Michael Cairns will moderate the panel of both new and traditional publishers, including:

Ingenta will also share the recent results of a survey of academic publishers on a panel called Publishers Building Vertical Communities. This will take place on January 15 at 2:45 pm. Panelists will discuss both the pitfalls and successes of online communities, as well as how direct engagement with readers can create new business opportunities. Erin Cox, Business Development Director at Publishing Perspectives, will be moderating and will be joined by trade, professional, and academic publishers to discuss their community-building efforts, including:
