Ingenta introduces new content processing system
Ingenta plc, the technology and services provider for the publishing and information industries, is pleased to announce the introduction of a new, comprehensive content processing system to improve the speed and quality of content conversion from print to online delivery.
The system outputs interactive PDFs with dynamic article reference links that remain live even when the article is downloaded. Links are both embedded in the article and appear alongside the abstract on IngentaConnect. All links are generated at the point of delivery ensuring that links to articles only recently published online, IngentaConnect or by any of Ingenta's large group of linking partners, including CrossRef, are live. The new process also delivers page-at-a-time, so users don't get frustrated with long download times, and content security is retained with watermarking of the pages to minimize copyright abuse.
Speaking on the benefits of the enhanced system, Jonathan Greenstreet, Ingenta’s Production and Development Manager, said, “Partnering with Ingenta allows publishers the opportunity to focus on their core business, while leaving the connection of their content online to us. Ingenta offers publishers a full-service document delivery solution that uses cutting-edge technology and a superior production team to save them time, money and administrative resources, and yet have control over their content and its presentation.” For more information, publishers should contact uksales@ingenta.com or their client manager.
