Ingenta doubles publisher signings in 2006

Strong December achieves total of 40 new clients over year

Ingenta, the technology provider which connects the publishing and information industries, recently announced that it closed 2006 with 40 new publisher clients, demonstrating a 100% increase on publisher signings in comparison with 2005. CEO Simon Dessain ascribed the company’s success to its increased stability and strengthened offering: "We are delighted that so many publishers have recognised the quality and value of Ingenta's proposition, and the leadership demonstrated by our technology. Whilst we have had times when competitors were giving us a run for our money, we now think this record increase in new customers clearly shows that we are once again leading the market."

New publishers to join the service in the final month of 2006 are:

  • Berghahn Books
  • The Clifford Beers Foundation
  • Improbable Research, Inc
  • MIDIRS (Midwives Information and Resource Service)
  • Opulus Press
  • Royal Archaeological Institute
  • Society for Cooperative Studies
  • Springer Publishing Company
  • Vittorio Klostermann Verlag
  • World Maritime University Publications
