IngentaConnect announces North American Library Advisory Board

The group will advise Ingenta on all aspects of its role in the library community, from its overall strategy in the information market to product development plans. Board member Chuck Hamaker comments, "I'm pleased to serve in assisting Ingenta, a key resource for libraries, to stay current and relevant to our rapidly changing needs. Ingenta's willingness to enter into dialog with librarians through an advisory board is an important indication of its continuing commitment to constructive engagement with the communities it serves".
Library and End User Services Manager Amel Abourachid adds, "In setting up a library advisory board, I sought to encompass a range of disciplines and job roles, to ensure a broad approach to discussions. We want to hear everything from views on day-to-day usage of IngentaConnect to off-the-wall 'blue sky' ideas for improvement. I'm thrilled to have assembled such a high-caliber group and I look forward to working closely with them to further enhance the IngentaConnect suite of services."
The Library Advisory Board will meet annually in person, with monthly virtual discussions. Output from meetings will influence the development of future IngentaConnect features and functionality and the overall direction of the service. In addition, contributions from the sessions will be used to advise Ingenta's publishers and assist them with better understanding the needs of their institutional users, and shaping their own policies accordingly.
