Founded in May 1998, Ingenta is a leading provider of technology and services to the publishing and information industries. Working initially within the academic and research sector, the Company has widened its scope of operation to include other forms of online publishing, especially within the financial and business communities.

Ingenta has offices in Oxford and Bath in the UK, and in Somerset, NJ and Cambridge, MA in the US, and became a publicly listed company in the UK in May 2000. Since its February 2007 merger with VISTA International, the company has become a division of Publishing Technology plc , which is listed on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange.
