Coursepack services

With the rapid increase in online and distance learning, Ingenta’s Heron service enables institutions to compile coursepacks that can be accessed online without infringing copyright.

Dealing mainly with book and journal extracts, Heron has built up a resource of over 2.5 million digitized units that can be accessed on demand, subject to copyright permissions. To make this part of the process as easy for you as possible, Heron acts as a copyright clearing house, negotiating rights of access direct with publishers and other rights holders. In addition, Heron can work with you on developing a program of provision of, and access to, digital content.

To create and track usage of coursepacks, Heron uniquely offers PackTracker, a desktop coursepack management tool.
