Ingenta Institute
The Consortium Site License - Is It a Sustainable Model?
2002 Event Information and Programme, UK
Reports on the Ingenta Institute's 2002 research studies Tuesday 24th September 2002, The Royal Society, London
The Institute's current research programme focuses on the impact site licensing and consortia developments have had on the scholarly information community, and the implications of these changes.
With little qualitative and quantitative international research having been undertaken to date to identify the real impact of site licensing and consortia developments on business models and collection management strategies, these independent, international surveys, being run over two years, address questions such as:
- To what extent is the consortium site licence meeting publisher and library objectives?
- What are the perceived flaws in the model?
- Can we avoid a new serials pricing crisis?
Senior figures from the academic, library and scholarly publishing communities will attend this meeting to discuss the results of the research, and will evaluate the significant implications for future policy and strategies. To join them, book your place now and take advantage of our new combined rate for event and report. (please note that delegates who have already registered for the event will be able to take advantage of the combined rate by picking up an order form on the day).

Programme
If you are unable to attend the London meeting, a selection of the papers will be presented at The Charleston Advisor pre-conference on Wednesday 30th October 2002. Please contact: Kate Taylor for more information or check the Charleston website for updates.
