SETTING UP, DELETING AND ACCESSING YOUR RESEARCH AND TOC ALERTS
To set up your research alerts
To set up research alerts you must log in with an UnCover profile ID and be covered by a Reveal license. Search alerts are set up via saved searches in search options. To set up alerts:
- Run a search or searches. See search tips for information on searching.
- All searches are automatically listed on the saved searches screen, accessed from the left-hand toolbar at any time. To set up a search as a research alert click on saved searches
- Select add to alerts alongside the search term you would like to add to your alerts
You can see a list of your current alerts by selecting my research alerts in manage my ingenta.
Please note that searches that are not saved are lost on logging out.
To delete a research alert
To delete a research alert, you can either:
- Go to my research alerts within manage my ingenta
- Select delete alongside the search term you would like to delete
or:
- Go to saved searches from the left-hand toolbar
- Open the my saved searches folder
- Click on delete alongside the search term you would like to delete
In order to update your research alerts you need to delete the relevant alert and set up a new one.
To set up your table of contents (TOC) alerts
To set up TOC alerts you must log in with an UnCover profile ID and be covered by a Reveal license. Table of content alerts are set up via manage my ingenta:
- Select my table of contents
- Enter the title or part of the title you would like to select, or select a letter
- Check the box alongside the publication you would like to receive alerts for and select add selected to list
- Select OK to activate the list
You can add to your table of contents list, or delete titles, at any time via manage my ingenta/my table of contents. You will be emailed the table of contents once new issues of publications are available on ingenta.com.
To delete a table of content (TOC) alert
To delete a publication:
- Go to my table of contents within manage my ingenta
- Check the box alongside the title you wish to delete

ACCESSING YOUR ALERTS
Research alerts and TOC alerts can be accessed via the manage my ingenta screen. To access:
- Log on to ingenta.com
- Select manage my ingenta from the left-hand tool bar
- For a list of your current research alerts, select my research alerts. A list of your current alerts appear at the top of the screen.
- For a list of your current table of content alerts, select my table of contents. A list will of current TOC alerts appears at the bottom of the screen.
