Frankfurter Buchmesse is the world’s largest book fair but this year the Frankfurt Book Fair will provide a greater virtual presence. Frankfurter Buchmesse 2020 – Special Edition will provide an extensive digital programme for publishers and content providers. It will take place on 14 – 18 October 2020. Ingenta will be one of the many digital exhibitors.
The book fair’s traditional on-site exhibition has been cancelled this year due to the Coronavirus pandemic but the digital programme will provide publishing professionals, exciting online events at BOOKFEST digital for an international readership, as well as live events in Frankfurt.
The Special Edition of Frankfurter Buchmesse will provide discussions, Q&A sessions and brief talks with international experts aimed at members of the international publishing industry. The publishing event will cover areas including Academic & Scholarly Publishing, Rights & Licensing, Publishing Insights, and Audio.
Frankfurt Rights is Frankfurter Buchmesse’s new platform for the international rights and licence trade. It will bring together all the players in the rights and licence trade and as a global leading supplier of intellectual property systems and producer of rights management technologies, Ingenta will be actively involved.

Before the main event starts Ingenta’s CEO Scott Winner will have led a panel titled: IT’S 2020, DO YOU KNOW WHAT RIGHTS YOU OWN? This takes place on Monday, October 12, 2020 from 7:00am to 8:00am EDT (12:00 – 1:00pm BST) and discusses Emerging Intellectual Property Rights at Frankfurt Book Fair 2020. The panel topics include best practices for fully exploiting IP rights across multiple media platforms and will focus on emerging areas in global rights deals, including podcast and streaming rights, and will bring together experts from book publishing, film, TV and music.
